Murphy's Musings Greeting Cards (LMA Productions Inc.) announces participation in the National Stationery Show, in New York City, NY, May 16 – 19, 2010, at the Javits Convention Center. Murphy’s Musings will debut its new line of hilarious, pet-related greeting cards at the Show.

Murphy’s Musings is tapping everyone’s interest. If you know someone who enjoys, golf, tennis, auto racing, is a Doctor, Stockbroker, Artist, Fireman, in the Military, Murphy’s Musings has the perfect card for you. Murphy’s Musings also has cards for special occassions such as Weddings, Graduation, New Home, Christmas, Sympathy, and Thank You. As this has been the exciting first year, there are many more gems in the works. The collection lives up to it’s slogan “Brighten Someone’s Day with Murphy’s Musings.”

All cards are 5” x 7” and are printed on high quality, glossy card stock. Beginning in 2010 all cards will be printed with vegetable-based ink on recycled card stock. Envelopes are included.

The entire line has been created and designed by Anne Udell, President. Her humor and innate design skills have created a very unique line of funny and heartfelt cards.

National Stationery Show to Host Launch of USPS Butterfly Stamp for Greeting Card Industry

WHITE PLAINS, NY, March 3, 2010…The National Stationery Show® (NSS) will host the official announcement and unveiling of the U.S. Postal Service® Butterfly stamp, a 64-cent, 1-ounce postage stamp developed in close collaboration with the Greeting Card Association (GCA) to serve the needs of greeting card manufacturers and their customers utilizing square or irregular shaped envelopes. The announcement will take place at 9:30 am on Monday, May 17, 2010, in the South Concourse of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, during the May 16-19 National Stationery Show.

Pier 1 Imports Presents $1.1 Million Raised in Holiday Greeting Card Sales to U.S. Fund for unicef

Pier 1 Imports presented a check today for $1.1 million to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF representing the proceeds raised from the sale of UNICEF greeting cards during the 2009 holiday season. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of UNICEF holiday greeting cards will go to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to help in its mission to decrease the number of daily, preventable childhood deaths from 24,000 to zero.
