It was nearly three years ago when chocolate lover, Rawan Al-Shaya was given a DeBrand Milk Chocolate Truffle in her homeland of Kuwait. Having sampled products from many of the world’s high end chocolatiers, she thought she had already tasted the best of the best. But this DeBrand Truffle caught her by surprise and forced her to sit down as she indulged in this new found delight. 25th Anniversary LOUIE Finalists Announced
New York, NY – The Greeting Card Association (GCA) has announced the finalists of its 25th Annual LOUIE Awards. Among the thousands of cards and invitations published each year, three cards from each of the 52 categories reached the final round of the Silver Anniversary competition. This year a record-breaking 220 companies worldwide submitted a combined total of more than 1,000 entries, all of which were marketed and sold in the United States during the 2012 calendar year.

OfficeMax, Office Depot shares soar amid merger report
Shares in Naperville-based OfficeMax Inc. soared 25 percent in early trading Tuesday morning on a report it is in advanced merger talks with Office Depot Inc.
And Office Depot shares were up 16 percent after the Wall Street Journal reported the two companies were in advanced discussions, citing person familiar with the negotiations, with a deal possible as early as this week.

Hallmark fights potential cuts to Postal Service
Hallmark really wants you to be able to open that birthday card on a Saturday.
But Saturday mail delivery costs the U.S. Postal Service $2.7 billion a year, and it’s a burden the cash-strapped agency is trying to shed — to the dismay of greeting-card makers everywhere. Cutting Saturday delivery is a key part of the USPS’s five-year plan to save $20 billion by 2015, but it is bumping up against businesses such as Hallmark that benefit from six-day mail delivery.
