A total of more than $15,000 was raised for men, women, and families who are living with HIV/AIDS. 26th Annual LOUIE Awards Finalists Announced

WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 21, 2014: The Greeting Card Association (GCA) has announced the finalists of its 26th Annual International Greeting Card Awards Competition, better known as the “LOUIE Awards.” Three finalists were selected for each of the 29 categories in this year's competition, which drew more than 900 entries from 220 companies worldwide, including the U.S., Canada, Israel, and the U.K. All entries were marketed and sold in the U.S. during the 2013 calendar year, and each of these outstanding finalists represents the best of the thousands of cards and invitations published each year.


Greeting Card Association Announces Winner of 2nd Annual Consumer’s Choice Facebook Contest

WASHINGTON — The U.S. lobbying forces that defeated a Postal Service plan to end Saturday delivery now are using their Capitol Hill clout to pass a law to make six-day delivery mandatory.


Greeting Card Association Applauds USPS's Decision To Continue 6-Day Mail Delivery Service

APRIL 11, 2013 — The Greeting Card Association (GCA) is pleased with the decision by the USPS Board of Governors, announced yesterday, to postpone implementation of their modified 5-day delivery proposal. We agree with the Board’s conclusion that the language in the Continuing Resolution passed last month restricts the Postal Service’s ability to move to a modified delivery schedule.


Postal Service backs off plan to stop Saturday delivery

The U.S. Postal Service has backed down from its plan to stop Saturday mail delivery.

The agency's board said Wednesday that mail will continue to be delivered six days a week. In February, the Postal Service announced that starting in August it would stop delivering mail on Saturdays, except for packages and express mail.


Greeting Card Association Hires New Management Agency

April 8, 2013 — The Greeting Card Association (GCA) has hired Bostrom Corporation as its new association management firm. Bostrom, an 80-year-old professional-services company with offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C., will assume management of the GCA this July from GLM, which has managed the Association since 2010.


USPS Saturday Service Halt, Impact on Industry

NEW YORK—Birthday, holiday and other cards may not get to recipients in time, and consumer confidence in the postal system may suffer, if Saturday mail service ends this August. The United States Postal Service (USPS) is proposing ending Saturday mail service, a move that the struggling organization says will save it $2 billion annually. However, removing Saturday delivery in the United States would have a negative impact on the greeting card industry and to the postal service, according to the Greeting Card Association (GCA).

Americans Still in Love with Valentine's Day Cards

January 21, 2013 – The Greeting Card Association (GCA) anticipates more than 145 million greeting cards will be purchased for Valentine's Day this year in the U.S. This figure is based on member company sales and does not include children's packaged valentines for classroom exchanges. Valentine's Day is the second-largest holiday for giving greeting cards, after Christmas.

Little Rock, AR - In May 2012, Magna IV partnered with Inviting Company to debut a personalized gift and paper division - IC Personalized Gift & Paper.

In November 2012, the two companies dissolved their partnership and the personalized gift division was rebranded as Incredibly Charming Paper & Gifts.  Still centrally located in Little Rock, AR, Incredibly Charming Paper & Gifts debuted new personalized gift options as well as additional new patterns at the January 2013 gift markets in Dallas & Atlanta. 

"We look forward to continuing to delight our customers with fun, colorful gift products, great customer service and fast turn around times." says their National Sales Manager, Heather Reed. 

In addition to the personalized division, they also debuted a coordinating line of general gift products that included beverage napkins, styrofoam cups, memo pads, magnets, travel mugs and blank stationery.  Incredibly Charming Paper & Gifts is still owned and operated by Magna IV and headed by their Chief Operating Officer, Kristi Dannelley.
