Stationery Stories - What is Yours?

After studying together at Art Deco in Paris, we opened our own Graphic Arts agency right after graduation, where we worked for many different brands and clients. We became mothers around the same time, and this sparked our desire to work differently, branch out, and start our own brand. Something that represented our love of design, family and illustration.

In 2012 we decided to launch OMY. The idea was to make products that we wanted for our kids, for our homes, a product that we could share and create as a family – something that didn’t exist on the market. Our first giant coloring poster measured 3 meters long! After a few changes, this became our XXL Giant coloring roll that launched our success and now exists in over fifteen themes, going from city maps to famous artist’s universes – featuring Keith Haring and Jeff Koons.

Once we did our first trade show in Paris, the success was immediate. When we saw the huge interest in the concept, we decided to make the jump! It was scary at first because we had lots of orders that needed to be delivered, so we needed to get the production going right away. We are very proud that our posters are made in France on recycled paper and with environmentally friendly ink; it was important for us to create a brand that brought all of our ideals and aesthetics together.

We were soon picked up by store like Colette, Fleux’ and Merci in Paris. Brands and stores started asking us to create special wallpaper to decorate their stores for events, or even design special posters or products for anniversaries or parties. Soon, museums started displaying our products and we launched different collaborative projects (the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the MoMA in New York City).

With each new collection, we create fun, creative and graphic products including placemats, markers, glow-in-the-dark posters, Pocket Maps, Pocket Games – the possibilities are endless!
