Inklings Paperie Awarded “Best of Show”

New York, NY (May 21, 2018) — A panel of industry judges has selected the Best New Products from among nearly 350 entries by 200 exhibitors at the The National Stationery Show®, May 20-23 at the Jacob Javits Show in New York City.

Inklings Paperie of Canton, Mich., received the Best of Show and Craft It Up/DIY category awards for its Make Your Own Scratch-Off Mini Notes, a way for people to encourage their friends with a surprise scratch-off card. “It’s truly an honor to receive the Best in Show Award, especially because there are so many creative and talented people in our industry,” said Lindsay Henry, the company’s founder and director.

The awards were announced at the Show on Sunday, May 20, and all products are showcased in a display near the Show floor. The judges, who represented a cross section of the industry, were: Lindsay Anvik, See Endless, Inc.; Sarah Schwartz, Stationery Trends and Gift Shop magazines; Nole Garey, Oh So Beautiful Paper; Alexandra Moss, Sunshine and Lace; and Danielle Rothman, Rothbyrn’s Creative.

Due to the popularity of the Best New Products program, an All Things Wedding category was brought back and a Cause-Related category added. In addition to Inklings Paperie, category winners of the 2018 National Stationery Show included:

About the National Stationery Show
The National Stationery Show is the only North American trade show for global buyers and sellers of specialty paper products — from greeting cards, custom invitations, announcements, gift wrap, calendars, and journals, to lifestyle gifts, such as candles, toys, personal care, travel gadgets and more. More than 8,000 total industry professionals come from 50 states and 77 countries to exhibit, and to source product from hundreds of exhibiting brands. Some 200 exhibitors stage their debut at each show, many in #fresh, a juried section of companies of 1-5 years in business. Another dedicated section of the show, The Supply Side, features exceptional production and finishing services for stationery and gift companies — including paper, converting, engraving, die-cutting, printing, packaging finishing etc. The Show is co-located with SURTEX, the premier event for sourcing original art and design, and ICFF. The NSS has been an integral part of the industry it serves for more than 70 years.

The National Stationery Show is owned by Emerald Expositions, a leading operator of business-to-business trade shows in the United States. The company currently operates more than 55 trade shows as well as numerous other face-to-face events. In 2017, Emerald’s events connected over 500,000 global attendees and exhibitors and occupied more than 6.9 million NSF of exhibition space.
